Navigating Life’s Big Changes: Jessica’s Supportive Approach to Therapy

ree

Life can shift in ways we never expected. Sometimes these changes are beautiful, exciting, or hopeful, and other times they arrive with grief, fear, overwhelm, or uncertainty. For many individuals,

couples, and families, receiving a new diagnosis can be one of those moments where everything feels different overnight.

Jessica, one of our Student Therapists and Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) here at Safe Place Therapy, brings a rare blend of professional expertise, lived experience, and deep empathy to those navigating these life transitions.

💛 Support From Someone Who Truly Understands

With over a decade of experience supporting children, adolescents, and adults with exceptionalities — including six years specializing in ABA — Jessica has walked alongside many families through the emotional complexities of Down syndrome, Autism, ADHD, and ODD.

As a parent raising her own child with Down syndrome and Autism, Jessica also brings something equally important: she gets it on a personal level. She understands the learning curve, the mix of fears and hopes, and the moments of uncertainty and profound love that can come with parenting a child with exceptional needs.

Her approach is grounded, non-judgmental, and deeply empathetic. In her therapy room, you never have to explain “why this feels like a lot.” Jessica already understands.
